Italian-American I would say Godfather has some good dinner scenes.
As far as Italian-made movies, my favorite dinner scene is in Amarcord, which is by Fellini. It is one of the funniest scenes, but also really insightful into the type of Italian upbringing Fellini had.

Big Night ... this movie not only has great dinner scenes but takes place in a restaurant (it was filmed in my town too!). Stanley Tucci is in it and Minnie Driver, also Marc Anthony (JLo's hubby), Tony Shalhoub, Isabella Rossellini and Liev Schreiber.
