I mean hard, I have the brown belt sudoku book, and it's way too easy, as well as the Mensa sudoku. I've played the brain age sudoku on Nintendo DS and solved all of them, I like the hard ones on there, that's what I'm looking for.

There's a couple advanced books that I'd recommend,

"Sudoku Genius: 144 of the Most Fiendish Puzzles Ever Devised" http://www.amazon.com/Grand-Master-Ultimate-Sudoku-Wayne/dp/0060893273/ref=pd_ecc_rvi_1/104-3440898-3444742?ie=UTF8&qid=1174244472&sr=1-3

"New York Post Fiendish Sudoku: The Official Utterly Addictive Number-Placing Puzzle" http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0061173363/sr/ref=pd_cp_b_title/104-3440898-3444742?ie=UTF8&pf%5Frd%5Ft=201&qid=1174244472&pf%5Frd%5Fm=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf%5Frd%5Fp=252362401&pf%5Frd%5Fs=center-41&sr=1-3&pf%5Frd%5Fr=1J6Q5V2W6140JDTXW0NA&pf%5Frd%5Fi=0060893273

I've been playing sudoku for awhile now and have the little paperback books of them in all the rooms. Get the 'easy' ones first to practice on, until you build your skill level. I play with a pencil and write each number (very small) at the top of the individual box that could fit in the box. There are 9 spaces across, 9 down and boxes of 9 spaces within each section. (you'll see this when you look at a puzzle). Numbers are clues and each puzzle already has some numbers filled in. You solve it by having 1 through 9 appear in each row, column and box in each 9 square section, but only once-and in no certain order. You'll find the numbers that might fit and the ones that don't through process of elimanation. I erase the ones that don't fit, eventually you will only have one # left that will fit across, down and within the 9 box square area. Begin solving it by seeing which #'s are already in each row, column and box, using logic fill in the missing #s. The more you fill in the easier it gets. It sounds harder than it is and I'm sure someone can explain it better. Basically you just get 1-9 in every square section of 9 #'s. Just start playing and you'll get it in no time. I learned from the instructions in the book. Have fun, gotta get off here and run to my senior dinner at church.
