I'm so glad that there was mixed reaction on this dress, only because it confirms that it's a toss up! My husband is verrry picky and loves me in white, I think it's just too close to being offensive, He'll have to get over it! :) Thanks!

A lot of people feel that wearing a dress that is primarily white is sort of like competing with the bride. While the bride in this case my not care or be overly concerned, some people in the wedding may feel that you and possibly treat you differently. The dress itself is very gorgeous. Perhaps the same one in a red with black lace or even black with white lace detailing. Or really any color that you like as long as it fits the formal feel of the wedding!

Hope this helps you out! I stayed at the same site you found the first dress. Good luck, hope you find a dress!!

To me, it kinda does sweetie. Although the black in the dress is turning it a bit. Its too much white. I really dont see how youre going to accesorise with that and take some of the white out. If you do, you will just look like you are morning. So, if youre not the bigger other woman the groom was cheating with, leave the dress alone.

very gorgeous dress...but I'd have to put my foot down on that one. Its too white, even with ccontradicting black lace....but s'mon White and black are definite Dont do's at weddings. Play by the rules and choose another. I'm sure there are plenty of dress websites out there. I know a good one called simplydresses.com, and (the?)bridalshop.com. Try it out. Dont get me wrong but I love that dress. I'd choose a dress that is 100% garunteed approved and safe. :]

If you want my honest answer... yes it is too white. I would suggest maybe if they have it in black with white lace. Just remember it is her special day and white is normally reserved for the bride only. It is a really BEAUTIFUL dress though.

don't wear this dress, it is too white (which is concitered rude if you're not the bride) try a dress that is a bridesmaid dress, from david's bridal http://www.davidsbridal.com/bridalparty.jsp
this one is kinda like the one you picked, but not white

um, yeah. i'm not saying you would steal the show, but you should try a red dress or or blue or silver. it's very cute, though.
