Girls only- Implanon?

Question

Does anyone else have the Implanon birth control implant? And if you do, can you tell me if its normal that for the past 2 1/2 weeks I've had my period?! This sucks!

While it is normal to have irregular, unpredictable periods while using Implanon, your doctor should be notified any time you have long lasting periods. I suggest you call your doctor and tell him!

While on Implanon, notify your doctor immediately if you have any of the following symptoms:
long lasting periods
very heavy periods
skipped period
severe cramping
chest pain
swelling of extremities
signs of depression
jaundice
