Hmm this is a tough call.

I wouldn't deport them without a reason and I bet I won't answer this question properly either.

However, i do think being a citizen of the United States should allow a person to be able to get a place of emplyment before an immigrant can. So the more I think about it, I would probably deport them on the basis that they take a lot of jobs away from people who are already unemployed and are citizens here.

Roberta,
My grandparents came to this country for a better way of life, also. But they did it legally. They applied for "green cards",found jobs to support their families and learned and spoke the English language when they were in public. They kept and passed on their customs and spoke their native tongue at home. They became Americans.
Today, other countries whose leaders don't encourage business growth(and therefore, job growth) assist in sending their people here to flood the markets with people willing to work cheaply. Those people quite often use our health care systems, school systems and welfare systems with being legal residents and paying into the systems. The difference between today's immigrant is the difference between breaking the law and abiding by it (as the immigrants of previous generations did)I think they need to be sent back and all foreign aid given to their country suspended until they stop the invasion of unlawful immigration.

note to your edit is all i will answer. re: they have the hardest, worst paying jobs.
do you mean those jobs that no one wants? like lawn care, construction trades, and similar jobs? the ones that hundreds of US born citizens USED to do when it PAID WELL, before greedy employers, many of whom were wealthy to begin with, started hiring illegals BECAUSE they'd work for a fraction of the pay?
are all the factory closures so we can ship jobs to Mexico and Guatemala and the rest of the world doing the United States' economy a lot of good? there are within 15 miles of me at least 18 huge, empty plants whose former employees were the backbone of the local economy. many of those folks would like to go back to the 'good old days' when American industry was run by and for Americans, and not to line the pockets of the fabulously wealthy. i mean just HOW much money does a person really NEED?

well its controversial, and depends

if they come here illegally but have a child here then i can't say i'm on the deporting side, because what will happen to the children? it's ethics.

but i support deportation if they don't become a legal citizen like everyone else.

supporting. I've known immigrants. I've lived at the border, and I would rather support them and have them here working, than not have them and be struggling as a country.

They do the jobs that US citizens don't. A lot of them don't want to stay, they just want to make enough $$ to support their families in other countries.

Well, your question is confusing. I'm for LEGAL immigration. I'm against illegal immigration.

As for reasons why, who wants a bunch of crime breakers or "they owe it to me" people infiltrating their country? And by entering illegally or remaining undocumented, or even just crossing the borders to pop out a kid: you are a criminal.

I have family who are still going through the citizenship process, 6yrs after they started. But they will be legal USA citizens when finished!

I believe we should deport illegal immigrants and have them come back the legal way. I don't think it's right that they have better health care and other benifits that I don't. I disagree with my tax dollars being spent on illegals.

Deport ILLEGAL immigrants. They suck, they take everything away from the people who live in that country. Also deport immigrants who don't bother learning the language and who don't bother getting jobs.
