Never since the tournament has been in this format ( 1 vs 16)

No. The #1 seed is I think 90-0 in the first round. There have been 2 Vs. 15 upsets, like when Steve Nash played for Santa Clara, and I cant remeber who they beat, but I want to say it was Georgetown.

A 15 seed has knocked off a 2 seed 4 times in the NCAA men's tourney.
And the Badgers prevented that from happening a 5th time today!

Happened once in the women's tournament (Harvard beat a Stanford team who was missing three starters due to injury) a few years back, but never in the men's tourney.
