I have an 89 nissan 240sx and was gonna get a transmission switch from auto to manual...before i walk in somewhere i wanted to know how much it would cost. Does anyone have an idea of the price?

I would suggest that you not do this. It's not just the transmission. You will need a transmission, flywheel, bellhousing, clutch, friction disk, clutch master, clutch slave, hydraulic line, pedal assembly, and speedometer hookup. You may end up needing a new starter, as well. I'm not familiar with this particular car, but you're also going to need some interior trim components, at the very least a new center console and shifter boot. Add the labor to r&r. By the time you're done, it would have been far cheaper to sell the car and buy the one you want. Sorry, but I've been through this a time or two. It's one of those things that looks simple at the start and then turns into a money pit.

1200 for the part prolly nother 100-250 for installation(depends on how fast its done) also depends what your current tranny is like, and if the new one will be high quality oe not
