Every baby has different needs,it could range from 1 oz to 3 or 4 oz right now,as long as she is gaining the proper amount of weight at each doctors visit she is doing just fine. She was a good weight so if she does lose some which some baby's do in the first few days (mostly when breast fed until the moms milk comes in) she will most likely gain it back.

My newborn baby girl eats about 4 oz every 3 hours. But she's a big girl. She weighed 8 pounds 14 oz at birth. So I think it depends on the child.

OH PLEASE 1 week old babies dont drink 4 ozs. At one week 1 oz maybe 2 at the most! Start with 2 and if she only wants 1 then cut it to 1. In a week or so try 2 again if she drinks it all then go to 2, after a couple weeks try 3 if she drinks it all go to 3. The link will help you with your questions about feeding and when.

She should feed whenever hungry if she is on breastmilk since it is easily digested . My son fed around 10-12 times in a 24 hr period
formula takes more time to digest and feed b/w 2.5-4 oz every 3-4 hrs

i think of it is going like this with breast milk... multiply toddler's weight by 3 and divide by what number feedings you do in an afternoon... a three week old, in all probability around 8 kilos? and feeds 12 situations in keeping with day?as an occasion, might get an standard of two oz..each and every 2 hours. you ought to strengthen that even after a week because of the fact the infants improve plenty in the 1st couple of months! stable good fortune :) while you're feeding from the breast at as quickly as... it relies upon on how stable of a nurser you have... if toddler is a competent little sucker then he ought to even get adequate after 10mins... yet around 3 weeks, toddler can no longer extremely play with toys or something, so what extra effectual is there to do than locate convenience on mothers boob all day and nighttime! lol... i went with the aid of that. it is demanding yet shouldn't final that way for extra suitable than yet another month...or whilst toddler starts discovering his/her environment plenty extra. take care and sense inspired :)

about twice their weight in a 24 hour period. Thats what I have always heard. So she would need some where around 15 ounces in a 24 hour period. She may only want 1-2 oz at a time.

It really shouldn't be measured in oz. If baby seems satisfied after a feeding, calms down, goes to sleep, and/or doesn't seem restless, then she's had enough.
I breastfed mine, so I never worried about the actual oz. Go by her cues. She knows when she's had enough and every baby takes a different amount and day to day can be different.
Another way to be sure is to keep track of the amount of wet diapers daily. If she's having good wet diapers, then she's getting enough!
