Well for men I would think the purpose of underwear is tol hold their package up and 2gether. For women I don'tk now.. a place 2 stick their pad i geuss?

The purpose of underwear is so you don't hang loose and have a very uncomfertable feeling!!!!

well... Females have very sensitive parts that can become irratated rather quickly so they need underwear to prevent chafing and so on... Thats why undies have cotton gussets, making them more "breathable" .
Guys probably need underwear to keep all their bits and pieces from getting caught in their zips!!!

To a have barrier between your clothes and your skin. People sweat, even after showering, so would you really want that on your clothes?

umm well so it covers up your bottom and such incase pants or something falls down?..umm incase you have a period or w/e it wint soak through your pant fully help you clean in a way
