I know it may sound like it miught not work. But take the wheel out of the cage, Wash it throughly. Dry it. and then get some vegetable oil[The one you use to fry with] and try to put it inside the wheel. This is how i did it, 1. i got a cotton i soaked some vegetable oil in the cotton. then i went behind the wheel and squish it out so the vegeteble oil can go through the parts that you cant get to. this worked great for me. its alot smoother so it makes alot less sound. and it doesnt rattle[like it looks like is going to fall off]. Also go the pet store and buy him [[FLAVORED}} Chews so that he wants to chew on the flavored chew sticks. and then learn that that is what he will chew andstead of the plastic. and trust me a dwarf hjamster can chew through the cage within a night if its really motivated and really needs chewing. Anf yes put some bedding in the petting zone area so that if he pees/poops up there it wont smeel bad. [pee can get stained to the plastic if there for a long time.] also this will give your hamster a more comfortable area in his house[petting zone.] Anyways hope this helped

Other than buying a silent wheel the only thing you can do is apply a ittle oil to the wheel, or if your hamster is noisy at night and is keeping you awake by running on the wheel you can move the cage into another room at night.
As for her chewing the bars in the cage, buy her some hamster chew bars to hang in her cage, they are fab for her teeth and she will love chewing on them for hours. The only time my hamster chews on the bars of his cage is when he wants to come out. So next time she does this let her come out for a run around for a while.
As for bedding, let her create her own bed. Shred up some unsented, un bleached toilet paper and thow it all over her cage. It will keep her amused for hours carrying it around and making up her own nest. Hamsters love this. And if she is more occupied and busy this may stop her from chewing on the bars in the cage.

For the wheel issue most wheels will start squeaking after they start getting old but i have found "silent wheel" to last longer. About gnawing most hamsters have this issue but you can provide things like toilet paper rolls and they love puppy sized peanut butter flavored dog biscuits. You don't need to add bedding to the loft area of the cage because if your hamster wants bedding there they will carry it up themselves.

If the wheel squeaks, use wD40, and let it set out for day or two, then tape it to the bottom of the cage so it's solid. Also try a small ball or two. they love to move things, might distract them from chewing. Also anything shiney they like, long as it's not small ofcourse. I had on who was absolutely facsinated by a plastic mirror that was out of a bird's cage. Sometimes it also helped to put them inside of one of those plastic balls, and let them run some of that energy out during the day.

i used vasoline on the moving parts and where it rubbed. it quieted down so no noise was heard, but it only lasted about 3 weeks before i had to do it again. good luck! They will chew cardboard or wood, it is just their nature. Also, we had a loft area and we put bedding in there and they loved it!!
