I was asked once why people in todays society seem so much more anti-social. It is simple...Can you remember what it was like with out cell phones, computers, GPS..etc.? I do, people actually had to talk to their neighbors, and had to go to the stores and be socially visible.People now a days are to dependent on technology and not enough on common sense. Think about it.

It's all a matter of choice, though.
People so often depend on outside commitments to boost their self esteem and end up neglecting their own families.
Community,Church and school service is very important, but anyone who believes their life is out of control is hiding some Truth from themselves. Best to ask, what am I running from?

I agree. We have so many things going on, that we try to concentrate a little bit on everything. By spreading ourselves around so thinly, we are never able to achieve greatness. You see all the great athletes, ceo's, politicians, have dedicated their lives to whatever it is, and thats why they succeed.

Totally agree there are too many distractions, I can start many things and finish few as there is not enough time in the day for all.

It all comes down to to time management and organization. Keeping busy challenges your mind and keeps you in shape. Idle minds and hands are only an invitation for trouble.
Besides, as far as we know, you only live this life once. I want to cram as many things as possible into mine while I am able to have the experience. And yes I am enjoying it.

I agree. Look at technology, it has made us more dependent. We know we "need" computers, but few know how to fix them if they break.
