Unfortunatly, you are too young to work at those places.
Jobs

There are many ways you can earn money. I babysit and I get paid very well. But I think you have to be 13-14 to start.

My Rates

1-2 kids ~ $5.00/hour
Each additional child ~ $1.25/hour

*When you are babysitting a baby under 10 months old, you should ask to be paid a bit more than your regular charge, since you must give more attention, change the baby, feed the baby, and put the baby to bed.

Another Idea is to have a bake sale/ lemonade stand. Me and my sisters baked all week, made poster signs and decided how much we should charge for each baking good. Any age is perfect for this job!

Another good job is to start a walking dogs for neighbours that have dogs. You can either put up posters around town, or hand out fliers to people you know that have dogs. I would charge 5 dollars per dog.

Another good job is to wash cars, or open a car wash business with friends for a few days, mow the lawn, shovel drive ways in the winter, and help people clean there house that might need help.

If are 14 years or older, you could also work at fast food restaurants, or grocery stores too.

You do have good intentions with wanting to help your family in these tough economic times & it does stink that you can't work at a business til you are 14. Others are giving good suggestions, like a paper route or dog walking service. Have you thought of mowing lawns or other odd jobs that your neighbors either can't physically do or have no time or desire for it. How about tutoring a classmate or younger student in a subject that you are very strong in? I would be very careful with online surveys because many will pay, but you could pick up a virus on your computer or get so much junk mail that your parents will have a fit. Good luck!!

Very, very few actual businesses are going to hire a 13-year-old. There are too many legal hurdles, and the odds of a typical 13-yr-old being able to handle the workload are slim. (Yes, I'm sure you're exceptional, but they have no way of knowing that for sure, do they?)

If you really want to work, and want the opportunity to show that you can handle a job, your best bet is to strike out on your own. Find something you think you're capable of (yardwork, cleaning, dog grooming, I don't know, whatever), and start going door-to-door offering your services. Try to get regular gigs (weekly, monthly) so that you can build a relationship with your customers. Then you can use them as references when you are of a marketable age for a more regular job.

At 13 you probably should concentrate on staying in school and doing as well as you can. That's the best thing for your future. Other than that, you can deliver papers, mow lawns, babysit, do some house chores for people and other such domestic things. I don't think any company will actually hire a 13 year old. To my knowledge you have to be older in order to work legally everywhere.

Not many places will hire a 13 year old. It can be hard. Baby Sitting is a good option if you are patient with children. Click on the link below for a survey website I use to earn money. It is called teen eyes. It is pretty cool. It is a lot safer then most sites because it is directed to teens. When it warms up you can mow lawns. Dog walking and watching is also very profitable.

Most companies won't hire you until you're 16, however if you know people who need their lawns mowed, it's an easy way to make some decent cash. It's not taxed, your hours aren't regulated by the government, and you can have pretty flexible hours. The only problems that may arise are a lack of clients or rain.

you haveto be 18 to work at a video store 15 is really they only age that real companies begin hiring (Baskin Robbins, Grocery stores) so with that in mind I would try babysitting or doing yard work for some extra cash. You also might want to check out online they have some websites that pay you to try their videogames. Also see if any of your relatives own a business you could work for or if any of your friends relatives do then you have a chance to get hired young. Good Luck
