Doubtful. Puberty nowadays generally starts between the ages of 9 & 11. I'm sure if someone had a baby at the age of 6, we would have heard about it on the news. And I've never heard of it.

The only way that this could possibly be true is if the 16 year old is an emancipated minor and then somehow gained custody of the 11 year old.

There have been some older teens who became emancipated and then took over the primary care of their younger siblings. If this is the case, the 16 year old is probably not her real, birth "mom" but is more than likely a foster or adoptive parent. Even then, I highly, highly doubt it.

While its true that the youngest mother to ever give birth was a 5 year old, that was in the 1930s. Here is the link to the story: http://www.snopes.com/pregnant/medina.asp

I would be willing to bet that had this happened again it would be all over the news. I never heard anything about it and could find no record online either. I think your friend is pulling your chain.

Edited to add: Sorry poster amosunknown. We must have been typing simultaneously. Great minds eh? He he he

I really doubt that a 5 year old can get pregnant, even if they had a menstrual cycle. Their bodies are not equipped to carry a baby. I did work with a 11 year old who became pregnant by her father. That was the earliest I'd ever heard of until there wa a news story not that long ago about a 9 year old who gave birth in another country.

there is alot of stigma related to being a pregnant teen AND to being on any sort of welfare/government help. I understand the place you're coming from, i'm no longer a young person, yet i'm youthful and that i'm getting medicaid to pay for my being pregnant. people will attempt to cut back you down as much as they might... yet in basic terms overlook approximately them! the folk who protest and whinge at you the loudest are the comparable those which will circulate working for help from the government if something ever undesirable occurs to them and that they gained't supply it yet another theory then. those each and every person is ignorant and characteristic unquestionably no compassion for persons in choose. Being on welfare does no longer propose which you're lazy or irresponsible... in fact it exhibits adulthood which you're keen to do despite it takes to look after your unborn new child, despite if it skill working 2 jobs AND being continuously cut back down continuously when you consider which you're utilising your states coverage. i'm hoping each and every thing seems nicely for you!

The youngest ever recorded was at 8 years old I believe. But it doesn't matter the age, technically if a girl has her period she can get pregnant. However the younger the girl is the more she is prone to miscarriage because her body is not physically able to carry a child.

Yes there is. The youngest female to give birth on record was 5, I think it was in Africa or somewhere over there. Lina was her name.

What I want to know it, who's the sick bastard that got her pregnant?

I think your friend is a liar though. lol.

I have heard stories of a five year old giving birth but that was many, many years ago. As long as she's had her period she can get pregnant. Although whoever would do that to a child is sick!
