Buy bins and other organizing tools to separate different papers and things in different areas. A factor contributing to this disorganization might be that you've held on to too many things. Take some time to separate what you want to keep from the things you can part with. For more ideas, check out shows like Clean House.

To teach your daughter to be organized, periodically clean her room with her. Show her the pride of having a clean, neat space after working hard to tidy it up.

Good luck!

Buy bins, plastic containers, etc and label and put articles by category. Try buying books on organization for extra tips. Go to HSN.com and type in organize. There are many products to help you get organized. I recommend the "Store More" which are different sized compartments that allow you to store everything, yet see inside because they are clear. You can pull out something on the bottom and not have everything fall down because it was removed--because of how it is made. There is NO installation. Love this product to organize everything. Label the front and you will know where everything is.

well I always think that if everything gets put back in it rightful place when you finish with it helps. Making your bed before you leave to work /school, dirty clothes to the laundry at night, wiping down the counter´s in the kitchen when you have made yourself a sandwich, washing up your plate /cup. So many thing´s you can do to be a little bit more Organized. Seeing how much you can do by setting your alarm clock to go off in 15 min´s, You can do many things in this amount of time . Finishing one job before you start another, writing thing´s down so you don´t forget. These are only a few thing´s I can suggest. Hope this helps a bit
