Hey there, cousin.

In a calm rain, I think that sound would be soothing for them. But in a thunderstorm, things are different. The thunder would be loud enough, and you don't want to blare the music over the storm.

A good genre to play would be, none other than, country. :) Buy a stereo and put it in your barn. You could also put speakers around the barn so the music would reach everywhere. Set the radio to a country station. Aside from the music, the voices of the DJs would have Cash (your horse) get completely relaxed with human voices (if he is not already).

At the barn I ride at they play country music. Save A Horse Ride A Cowboy!!! I like Kenny Chesney, Tim Mcgraw, John Micheal Montgomery.

Do your horse grow with music from a loudspeaker since young?
Because if they'er not used to it, it might disturb them then helping them.

The best music will be the sound of nature, just let them live in a peacefull place with a music of bird chirping, water flows, trees blown by winds, etc...

Hope this help
Bless You

people were taking area in music in the barn for years as a way to make the horses experience as even if people were present day. The more recent questioning is that it in simple terms rattles their nerves and makes them "hyper". i don't be conscious of, i have under no circumstances afflicted. in case you take advantage of music, surely classical, and soothing.

I don't listen to it, but classic is probably some of the most relaxing music I know. And my music teacher played an artist called Celtic Woman. They played Irish music, and I didn't really like it, but it really relaxed me. If you have iTunes, you can get it on there. Also, maybe Carrie Underwood. She helped me like country, and she has some relaxing songs on there. My last recommendation is Nelly Furtado. She has this song called"Say It Right", and It definetly relaxes me. Make sure to listen to the 30 second clips of these on http://music.msn.com/ , then you will know whether or not to get them.
