What can a person that has my I.P number do with it ?

The same thing someone could do with your real life address.. except, the IP is much more secure.

It depends on how much protection your system has. If there is no firewall then they could gain access to your system. If it's completely firewalled, then the IP address won't do much. They could attack the address to try to stop or slow your connection but many systems can be configured to prevent that type of attack.

He can physicaly locate the country (maybe more precise) where you live, and know the Internet service provider you use.
The IP adresse can be used to scan your computer and try to find some vulnerability. If he find some...he can send you virus, trojan, key-logger, ... and do about everything with your computer and data you have on it. (photo/video/credit card number/password...)
