you should first get them waxed by a professional. They will do it along you brow bone to open your eyes up more. You only pluck to keep it looking nice between waxing or threading.

Get your eyebrows waxed. I plucked for years (I'm 36), it is time consuming (Think Brooke Shields in the early years) and I always felt that they weren't even. Two years ago I got waxed for the first time. They were neat and even. The shape was natural, and it took me just minutes. I maintain between waxing buy plucking the obvious strays. Having a good shape to your eyebrows can do many things. Opening your eye area, Plus thick brows can give you that neanderthal look.

You only need to pluck where you need to.I'm saying that i would rather not pluck my eyebrows because it hurts so much but i you really want to pluck, pluck those hairs sticking out from the bottom of your brow so you can make a nice even look. Repeat on the top but not as much.Get an eyebrow brush and use the bristles to brush up then use the come to brush sideways. Also if you want them to look really good brush them in the direction they flow (my eyebrows look more neater brushed down or some people's eyebrows look better brushed up.)That makes them look really good.

It generally opens your eyes.

You can either get an eyebrow kit that comes with stencils, and use the stencil as a guide, or you can get your eyebrows done professionally and then maintain the shape by using a tweezer to pluck the eyebrows as they start to grow in. Or you can get rid of the hair slowly by removing the obvious ones first. There should be some pretty obvious hairs that fall below and above the normal brow arch. Pluck them one at a time at first. Look at yor brow often to make sure you're not ruining the shape. Also get rid of the hairs in between the two brows. Once the obvious ones are off you can continue to slowly pluck one by one until you get the shape you want. Both brows should match.

Just pluck the hairs that are out of place. Like in between your eyebrows. It hurts a little at first, but now I barely even feel it.

eyebrows need to be neat and you can shape them however you would like.
A good rule of thumb is to look at the natural shape of your eyebrows and thin out the " stragglers ". There are shapes you can buy and use to get a more uniform shape and they are great when you first start.
Start slow and pluck the outer edges a few at a time and give yourself time to adjust to the sting of plucking.

Decide how you like your brows and pluck accordingly.

To figure out were to pluck, you should take a pencil and line it up against the side of your nose, and wherever it hits on your eyebrow is were the eyebrow should stop. Sorry if that doesn't make sense, its hard to explain in words.

The shape of your face determines how you should shape your eyebrows, as well as your personal preference. if youve never plucked before, start here. Go into your bathroom and get an old eye or lip liner and trace the outline of your face. Once you see just your face shape, get a magazine, trace the outline of celebrities faces. compare their faces to yours, select the ones with similar shapes and look at their eyebrow shapes. also look at their eye shapes, doing this will help you 1. gauge what you would look like with certain shapes and 2. figure out what shapes you prefer seeing on your shape of face. Once you have picked your favorite shape, pluck ONE HAIR AT A TIME referring back to your picture regularly. remember to check for stray hairs above and below the eyebrow, they need to go too! That is how I learned, and from there you can morph future shaping into what you think looks best on you. I personally like it thicker towards the nose and thinner towards the end, with a fuller natural shape. ( My face is shaped like Jennifer Love Hewitt's) Hope that is helpful, I know its a long process but if you want to pluck instead of wax its the best way to learn!

Just pluck it right in the middle. It will be red for a few minutes but it'll go away.
Have fun plucking eyebrows!

I've always heard to put a pencil next to your nose and let it line up straight, letting it go above your brow. And any hair that is to the side of that pencil (towards your nose) to pluck. And not to pluck the top of your eyebrow, but i'm not sure how much that is true or not. I do it. lol Good luck!
