Really? I thought it was a mode of transportation.
Penis extension aside, I drive because I want to live. He's insured, so he can drive his own car anyway he wants, but not with me in it.

I've been married 26 years. My husband usually does the driving, and that's fine by me because he's not a real good passenger. He can't stay still and he fiddles with buttons and stuff. The only times I drive are when he's had too much too drink, or when he isn't feeling well. Driving is a competitive sport for him, so I let him do it.

My man lets me drive whenever I want. He is the greatest. He even lets me drive his big a$$ truck. I love it. He is not the type of sexist that thinks the man needs to be behind a wheel to have the power... because he has power where it matters... and that's in the bedroom.

I don't like driving, I think I am in the seat of power as the passenger, because I control the radio and the amount of sleep I am getting in the passenger seat. Plus it is the perfect vantage point to critique his driving.

I let my husband drive all the time. I think when we are in the car together it is his duty to drive. I just dont like to drive and he cant complain about my driving if it is him in the "seat of power"

I can't imagine even wanting to drive all the time, that's so silly. I drive when we take my car and he drives when we take his.
It's ridiculous that you feel like you have to have power over your wife or girlfriend. It's 2007 for goodness sake. No wonder you said WHEN you were married.

My husband drives about 3 hours a day for work so whenever we go anywhere together I am usually the one driving. I don't like his driving anyway :)

When it comes to the seat of power I take that seat because like you I'm a complete control freak, and that is usually going to determine who's gonna drive. The biggest control freak.

I think I have driven twice. When I was married I drove more often.
And I don't think it is the seat of power--I think it has something to do with chivalry.
