I always wondered why it's up some days and taken down other days. I heard a rumor that people shoot at it and they have to fix it. I think I once saw bullet holes where it was after it was taken down.

If you don't know what I'm talking about, it's the fortress storage building for the museum of science with a giant inflatable lock on it.

I always thought they took it in because of weather, or time of day. This may or may not be true, but if someone kept shooting it out, I think they would stop puting it up. It seems a lot of trouble to keep repairing or replacing the lock if it keeps getting destroyed. It is probably explained by the weather, maybe too windy or rainy. Maybe the time of day, closing, or maybe some days the employees are too lazy to put it out.

I thought maybe its waether and that is the reason. I wouldn't be surprised if someone drove by and was tempted to shoot at it or use some sort of other projectile
