I've heard that phrase used before on tv or movies, but none of my friends have ever used it. I know that obviously it's sexually related, but what does it mean exactly?

The Mile High Club has different meanings.
One is a group of people that hike the mountains with peaks that reach one mile above sea-level in altitude.
It also refers to people who have sex on airplanes or space or anyplace a mile up.

the "Real" mile high club is being a mile (from the ground, not from sea level) in the air in a plane and having sex (in colorado, there is a company that gives plane rides for just this purpose, they even give you a certificate with a member number on it). But most people associate the mile high club by just having sex on a plane in the air regardless of altitude.

Like everyone else has pretty mcuh said. Getting it on in a flying vehicle as long as its more than 1 mile above the earth's surface.
However, did you know that you get mega bonus points for making it in the cockpit, or in a seat next to a nun. Bet 'cha didn't know that, huh? *wink* *wink* *smile* *smile*

this is the serious answer. so dont get mad if i offend you. the mile high club is when you have sex on an airplane while its in the air. i guess it could qualify if you do it in denver.it means your a mile high above the earth. so i guess denver dont count sorry.
