Do you still carry a torch or a grudge from your high school days?

Question

If you had the chance to get back in touch with an old flame or to make amends with an old enemy, would you? Even if it would upset your life now?

I wouldn't say that I carry a grudge, but I did have a situation happen that lost me my best friend. Someone told her I said something that I never said. Instead of coming to me and asking me about it, she chose to believe this person. She quit calling me, avoided me, and although we hung out in the same crowd, she would only talk to me when I spoke to her and then did so abruptly. I was crushed and had no idea what I had done to offend her. We had been best friends for 4 years by then. This went on for about a month before I finally got her to even tell me what she was mad at me about. She finally told me what was said, but wouldn't tell me who told her this. I knew who it was because of a question that this person had asked me about her and she lied about what my answer was. It really hurt me and I really cried over it. I think she never really believed that I hadn't said that about her, because she was never really my friend after that. Of course, I still feel sad that it happened, but I no longer hold a grudge over it. It took me years to figure out that it was only because of her own insecurities that she believed the lie in the first place.

Nah, no grudges...we were silly kids and the things that mattered then, don't matter to me now. I don't know if I would get back in touch with an old flame b/c I am very content with the relationship I have now...not that I don't wish them well, I just wouldn't want to give them the wrong idea. I also wouldn't pursue making amends w/ an enemy, unless I had done something terribly wrong to that person. Ironically, I have become friends since high school with people I didn't get a long with in the past. I'm not a grudge person, if you want to be nice to me, I will be nice to you...very simple. Pride is not my issue, I do have others though, lol. :o)
