I've tried doing the search for sndrec32 n run sndrec32 but neither works...and I've tried to reintall it from windows components but it says that I need to have the CD and I can't find it.

I've tried to use other programs like audacity but for some reason they won't work with my old speakers please help

is there a place that I can download it from?

Try searching for " sndrec32.* " ... the file extension "exe" may have been replaced with something else by a third party program installation.

If not .... you do in fact need the installation CD or you could have someone email you the file as an attachment.

FYI ... I searched on my PC & yes Windows XP does have it.

It is small but perfect information. Windows XP don't have any sound recorder in it's window media player. They have one in accessories but capable of recording only for 30 seconds. Download jet audio or sound forge from www.softarchive.net & you are free to record as much as you wish & use it in as many ways as you like.
