OK here is the trick....Do the vinegar thing (Heating the vinegar until it boils then wipe it down with the hot vinegar..Let it cool a bit of course)
***THEN dry the bottom and place some strong un-used coffee grounds in a coffee filter in the microwave and it will get rid of the smell (This also works in a refrigerator!)

The best way I've ever found to clean a microwave is with lemons. I use a lot of lemons in cooking, and just save the pieces after I've used the juice and put them (3 halves is good) in a small bowl of water in your microwave. Microwave it on high for 5 minutes and then just wipe it out.

Lemon oil is such an amazing cleaner and deodorizer, you can't beat it!

Cut a lemon into a couple peices and place on a plate, then add some water - just enough to cover the bottom of the plate. Zap it for a good couple minutes, you want lots of lemony goodness in the steam. Wipe the inside of your oven. If you've got stuck-on food from not cleaning the oven, it'll take more cleanings, you've got to get it clean to get rid of the stink.

Good luck!

Heat a bowl of water with some vinegar to neutralize the odor. Or just clean with damp cloth and leave door open a while. Those odor absorbing products for refrigerator sold at grocery store might work

Put a mug of water and vinegar in the micro and heat for about 6 minutes. You want a good steam to happen in there. When you open the door there will be water dropplets all over inside. Wipe with a cloth and you should be good!
