All this reparation business is nonsense. The people who should have really gotten reparation, former slaves, died ages ago and the people who should have paid it are dead as well.
Instead of nitpicking over who owes who what, these so-called community leaders should be working on real, current issues that effect the people they claim to be working for.

First of all I thought the Japanese did get paid reparations maybe I'm wrong though. Anyway reparations should have come in the form of "forty acres and a mule" centuries ago but it never did. We all know reparations won't happen so I guess we should move on past that yet at the same time, not forget about slavery which is part of our history .

You open a pandora's box when you try to decide who does and does not deserve reparations. Its a subject best left alone because it can never be fairly solved.
Not only that but whenever reparations are discussed the group most deserving gets left out, my ancestors. They got thousands of square miles of the American west stolen from them at gunpoint by the US government. Not to mention the number of men, women, and children killed in the process.

Nope. Why? We can only move forward. We can't change the past no more than a leopard can change its spots. Also, if you're talking "monetary" reparations, America is so far in debt, dude there is no way. I don't want "reparation" money, or "special" treatment. I know what my forefathers had to go through. They didn't want "special treatment" period! They wanted a "chance" to prove that they were just as good! No thanks. Keep your reparations!

No i dont think anyone should get reparations- too many things have happened in this country and too many things we have done to others.
I say we should all make peace, and stop hating. Keep an open mind, and be respectful- so then the problems that we faced in the past dont happen again.

no,
why?
because they are enjoying their life and they are making life hard for others to live. They are being treated nicely and no there is no racism against them, they are making world a bad place for people to live in i mean they rob and steal and if the majority if the population is white why are there more blacks in jail. Asians should get reperations because we get so so so so so so much racism these days from who mostly? blacks and whites because all of a sudden they think they rule the world.
No they should not i mean they should work just like the rest of us. They make lives bad for other people and when the world accepts them they always have to accuse people of being racist and get attitudes and act childish and like animals, they already are having their fun picking on and praying on people of other race and they have not acted like they want reperations, i wish we had blacks like mlk and malcolm x instead of the ones today. Hope you know this they also ruin the culture of america with their music (hip hop and rap that talk about guns and sex). Fine give me thumbs down and try to ban me if i get a thumbs down for telling the truth THEN SO BE IT!!!!!!!!!

If it can be proven that corporations that exist today profited from slavery, why not?
Btw, black people don't walk around talking about reparations all day, in fact, I hear more whites bringing it up.
Either way I don't want or need a handout and I don't believe it would ever happen anyway.

I don't know if what you're saying makes sense...people don't always agree on who is responsible for what...What the Japanese went through is not really comparable to slavery. Not remotely. Yes, a lot of indentured servants from England came with the slaves and they did suffer- but they blended in eventually. Slavery and it's aftermath are not a simple deduction of complex historical events- it has very deep and profound effects on societies...and so, I don't agree with you. Nor do I particularly disagree.

A one way ticket back to Africa is the only form of reparations for them that I support. THEY OWE America reparations for multi-generational welfare and crime costs.
