Gold strappy sandals

My initial thought was slinky gold sandals... but i don't think that would really look right. So depending on the material of the dress go with a slinky blue sandal. Sounds formal, so try a navy satin stilletto. With a small strap over the toe and maybe one around the ankle.

I think you should wear a cute little gold ballet flat to offset the length of the dress. That's a really fresh look right now. I don't know how old you are, but to me a heel with this sort of nautical theme screams "seniors on a cruise ship!" At least try them on when you go out to shop. You'll see what I mean.
