I'm looking to buy a new swimsuit from speedo. In your opinion, which one fits well, is comfortable, and lasts long? I need a good one for a competitive swimmer who will be swimming for 5 days a week in the summer.

Will choose best answer!

For swim in practice endurence brand by speedo is the best and last the longest. I like the skinny straps because even though they might dig in at first at least you dont get suit hickies like you do from thick straps (thats when the strap rubs on your neck and it looks like you have a hicky) It isnt very appeling.

I know you didnt ask this but it will come in handy suits can be expensive so there are a few websites that will have good pricing and a good varity.

You can also get equitment from these stroes and sites such as goggles caps. training equitment meet suits. and fin things. most of these stores also sell things for you to get the chlorien out of your hair and to get the water out of your ears so you dont get an ear infection.

I hope this helps you have a lot of website to choice from

All suits eventually crumble with the chlorine and sun. Lycra picks, and crumbles faster than polyester, but polyester is not as stretchy and skin tight for racing.

My advice is, if it is a summer league that they are competing in, just get something that will last. Summer leaguers tend to abuse swim suits by sliding their butt around on concrete while sitting down, playing on swing sets between races. No need to go shell out $40 bucks on something that may not last the summer.

Swim shops can advise you on that and it appears with the other posts that speedo has taken the time to at least Brand a suit "endurance" hoping to at least sell it to parents sick of buying a new suit every couple of months. Probably no guarantees that it will last longer though, just like all the other new and improved items on the market.

The best thing to do to make a suit last is to rinse it everyday in cold tap water after use and keep the kids butt off of rough surfaces. If you can get your kid to do that it may last two seasons and you probably have the most unbelievable parenting skills on the planet.

Good luck

I have used A TON of swimsuits from Speedo and they usually become see through within about two months. I swim a lot. And the besst brand from speedo is the Endurance. It fits really well, lasts a VERY long time, I've had mine for a year, and they are really cute.

well speedo is a good brand so no matter which one you get it should last a good while.
well on the comfort thing; its a swimsuit. its not going to be the most comfortable thing in the world. it is really your own opinion. your just gonna have to try different ones.
but here is what i like.
the ones with skinny straps cut into your skin.
the ones with thicker straps hold you up better.
i wouldnt get one that have thing criss cross straps in the back b/c those are just hard to figure out how to put on.
but remember: all suits will be tight when you where it the first time. but you want it to be tight when you have swam in it a couple of times. for competing you dont want to be swimming with drag.

You want a polyester swimsuit. Speedo makes ones under the Endurance line.

Polyester keeps it's shape and wont wear out nearly as fast.
So, be prepared to pay more. You may want to try Speedo's grab bag if you know the right size - several suits for cheap.

Personally I find polyester a bit too restrictive and non-stretchy. :(

i for my area like the staying power flyback suits... i think of they're often if not one hundred% polyester. they don't stretch or fade or something like that, so in case you order suits a length smaller so they're fairly tight, i would not recommend doing that! My group gets them each and every 3 hundred and sixty 5 days for our prepare and meet suits, and the only project that occurred to the only I have been given in October of '05 replaced into the liner getting some holes in it (i ultimately ripped it out in January of this 3 hundred and sixty 5 days... and the wholesome remains wearable)... yet that replaced into additionally after donning it for meets each and all of the 05-06 season, prepare 3-4 days in step with week interior the spring and summer time, and prepare 8ish cases in step with week all of this season.
