I don't know...but I know that Green Day ushered the whole 'punk-rock' music in so I wouldn't say they were mediocre...but they brought in the new wave so that other bands, the next gen. so to speak like...Good Charlotte would have a fan base. :P

Yes. He divorced anything resembling musical talent before he ever picked up a guitar and decided he wanted to be frontman for the most mediocre pop band of all time, with exception to Good Charlotte.
