Why do people headbutt? doesn't this act of violence cause pain to both people or is there a technique, or a way of doing it right so you don't injure yourself.... i'm just curious.

You have to aim for the bridge of the nose...and brace yourself.

I think there is a technique to it. Although I haven't tried it. But my hunch is that the energy transfer from my head to yours causes more pain for you and less to me. Kind of like a bat hitting a baseball.

If headbutting is something you don't do and then you do it then yes you can injure yourself. I would recommend not doing it unless you have absolutely no choice. By the way, some people actually have thicker skulls than others. So, all craniums are not equal ;-)
