I would NOT. If he ever lays his hands on my kid, I will choke that old man.

(Hypothetically speaking, because I don't have a kid).

Absolutely not.

He's Hall of Fame only by statistics in my book.

How you teach, and how you win or lose speaks volumes about a coach.

Being part of a team means learning to work with those who make mistakes, fail, or that you may not like.

His childish rage, tantrums, and physical intimidation set the poorest example of sportsmanship. Did John Wooden do this?

People forget that being a gentleman (or lady) is at the core of sporting acheivement.

yes. He doesn't put up with nothing and knows basketball. He wants it done and only his way which is what most coaches don't do. Most let things go but not Knight. And who cares if he touches your child get over it and stop crying. If he can't handle it in the first place he shouldn't be playing in college. They make touch much of a big deal about it.

No. He is a great coach, the record speaks for itself. But his tantrums, cussing at players overshadows about everything he has done in his career.

Never heard tell of any coach laying their hands on a player.

Bob Knight is one of the best coaches ever and it really isn't your choice when your child graduates it's up to them and if I did have a child I'd love for him to play for Bob Knight because he has passion for the game he loves what he does and he's not afraid to say whats on his mind unlike most coaches these days.

That would be, "Coach Knight". Show the General the respect he deserves, before he strangles you at a salad bar for disrespecting him!

No.
He's a screwball.
Anybody who can't control their
emotions has no business working
with kids.
Sorry Bobby, but you need help.
