Depends what you mean by common sense really. Some peoples' idea of common sense is in the context of being anti pc, some people may think it's the loss of common sense that means that Tory MP can't make racist remarks so I say we say goodbye and good riddance to some 'common sense'.

The Muslim Council of Britain got some. Surprised? A British school decided to change the children's story "Three Little Pigs" to "Three Little Puppies" to avoid offending Muslims. Shaykh Ibrahim Mogra of the Muslim Council announced that this was ridiculous; the story was traditionally about pigs and should stay that way. Apparently, just because you don't eat pork doesn't mean you can't tell stories about pigs.

my guess is the things we used to consider 'common' aren't, any more....and the things 'common' today are 'common' because AVAILABILITY makes them so.

It's a matter of 'who' considers 'what' is 'common',.. vs who there opinion of 'common' IS RELEVANT TOO......

Computers are every where theses days, but they aren't my idea of anything 'common sense' relates too....but then, i remember when our telephone number was 42....and i could visually identify every auto on the road a mile away....and a candy bar cost a nickel....

Common sense is thriving...it's us who are trying to keep up with it and are overwhelmed by it's 'advancing', [so dramatically], who feel the consequence.
