Not always, Angelina. Sometimes we actually learn from our mistakes and we don't repeat them. The best lessons in life are learned the "hard" way. These are the ones that some of us are fortunate enough not to repeat. I do, however, get your point.

Yes but to be honest, I don't give a care. Let it repeat, it has nothing to do with me whatsoever.

By the way, not everything in history repeats itself. Like the Holocaust.

And then again, not everyone tries to not make the same mistakes over and over again.

I am not sure of that. But all I know is that your past made you to become the person who you really are today. Whether you want to stop that cycle or not, it's all coming back to you. You are basically the master of your own future and destiny. If you let history repeats then it repeats. But if you don't want to let it be repeated then you are the one who really hold the key for breaking the cycle. But I got your point here.

Yes!!! Its a horrible cycle sometimes. I am working my way on trying to change the cycle... My mom wasn't the best example in my life I am trying to be a different and better mom for my kids. So far I think I'm doing OK, but my kids are only 11, 4 and 10 months, so I really won't find out if I did a good job until they are in their 20's... Keep your fingers crossed for me.

We don't live long enough to notice the long-term patterns of history, whether that is national history, world history, personal history, family history, or whatever. In fact, right now the pace of our technological change is such that each generation has many different things to face that are new. Of course, if you define things broadly enough, then everyone is born, lives and dies, but , what's the plural of "So What?"
