Depends on the person and the situation. Usually the best thing to do is to tell them that you were wrong. It hurts the pride, but it's what you need to do.

It depends what you did. you must apologize and be sincere while you're doing it. Really stop and look at what you've done do make this person angry. Assess that situation and make a promise to yourself that you'll never do it again and you will try to improve yourself. Share your new goal with this person and hopefully that will help.

Whenever you see them, smile politely, make eye contact, and say hello. After a few times, give them a compliment on their cool clothes or nice hair, etc. If they are doing something physical, offer your hand to help. Don't bug them, irritate them, or over do it. Approach them casually. and keep a positive attitude. people are drawn toward positiveness.
