There are a few things that I have done that that I would be happy with, but the main one is that I have been lucky enough to have been blessed with three beautiful sons.

I've come very close to dying twice. Depending on what stage you're in, the answer could be yes OR no.
In the denial, anger, bargaining, and depression stages, generally speaking the answer would be no. In all of those stages, we think we're not "done" here and have so much left to do. In the depression stage, frankly NOTHING feels positive at all, including our accomplishments. They seem negligible, at best.
In the final stage, acceptance, what we have done or not done in our lives fails to have much meaning at ALL. Indeed, a hallmark of that stage is the "letting go" of all aspects of our physical, material lives. Instead, there is a sense of peace (such a relief, really), and the foremost thoughts have to do with our loved ones. Indeed, I noticed my thoughts stopped being about ME, and turned toward the people I love. There was a real feeling of peace; that everything would be okay, including me. All of the angst of the other stages just fell away, leaving only love. LOVE. Not money, accomplishments, old worries, or stress.
My hope is that, when my time actually DOES come, that I can skip right to the Acceptance stage. It was the shortest phase, but the most amazing. The peace of it was the hard-won end-game of so much pain and turmoil.
(Sigh. As a result of the "letting go of all things physical", I neglected to respond to my music club mailings, and ended up with some REALLY crappy music as a result.)

If I were to drop dead this very moment, I would probably become the patron saint of plants and small birds but be forgotten quite quickly by others of my own kind (do I mean humans or wombles? Go figure!). When I'm a better person would be a better time to go.I have some compensating to do.

I will be pleased that I have raised 3 children by myself to the best of my ability
I would feel pleased that I have been independant, even if there was anyone around to help me I wouldn't need them
I would feel proud that I have always done my best and have always been my true self,
I have a kind generous heart that has been taken advantage of but I would feel proud that no-one has got the better of me or taken my spirit

Not everyone can be an astronaut or a sports hero. Most have to be satisfied with lesser accomplishments. So, if I snuffed it in an hour's time, I would die content with what I have done with my life.

Of old age, peacfully and discomfort unfastened with a bit of luck with my relatives around me, until the tip, i'd like us to be waiting to declare our goodbyes and something we mandatory to declare, or forgive eachother for, then i could die in peace and that they might stay in peace understanding no longer something became left unsaid between us, which could be my "appropriate end to my existence.

I'd be upset. I'm very young and have yet to live out the rest of my days.
