JOKE COMING: Have your parents conceive you.? Become born? Learn to speak and read? Kidding aside, you need to figure out if you are interested in becoming a lawyer because practicing law can be as dreary as any other profession. It is not the work of court room drama or big name attorneys. it can be as simple as filling in boiler plate wills or attending a closing for a re-finance. Meet with a neighborhood attorney ans see if you can puppy dog with them every once in a while for a day.

going to a university and majoring in political science, history, english...anything in the humanities.
early in college, keep an eye out for fellowships for students interested in law. some universities have pre-law programs that get you the classes you need to go to law school.
study for the LSAT's when you're done or almost done with school. take the LSAT's while applying to Law Schools...
Finish Law School...take the BAR...when you pass that, you're a lawyer! good luck!

5) apply and get accepted to law school
6) borrow about $80,000 to attend law school
7) study for about 4 months straight for your bar exam (exam for your law license)
8) take bar exam
