There isn't a safe way to intentionally skip (except pregnancy)... the 'sugar pills' in your birth control pills are there for a reason, skipping them is DANGEROUS!!!! ignore the people telling you to skip them, it can cause serious medical problems, like ovarian cysts (they hurt like hell, been there done that) and other things...
(seasonal is safe, however it doesn't end periods, just separates them by several months... so you still have a period occasionally)

Depo Provera and some birth control pills are the best suggestion I have for you. Depo is a birth control shot that makes most women not menstrate. Take the pills like Seasonale. It is where you take 3 cycles without the sugar pills and the 4th with so you have a menses 4 times per year. There are some pills that are in the process of being FDA approved for no menses, but I'd wait until the word comes in.

You can put yourself on contraceptives (not monthly) - try seasonale - 4 cycles a year - or the contraceptive shots can last from 1 to 5 years, though you may have break through bleeding in between those times.

If you're talking about not needing medicinal help, then the only way would be to lose so much weight that your period stops. and that is very unhealthy.

You can skip the sugar pills in a birth control pack to skip your period but you need to be taking birth control pills already. That's the only thing you can do to skip it without getting a hysterectomy.

if you take birth control pills, it suppresses your cycle so long as you don't skip days with the pill
