3. Bubba is an unacceptable name in society.
(It is considered slang and means: A white working-class man of the southern United States, stereotypically regarded as uneducated and gregarious with his peers, or
Bubba, a stereotypical nickname of Southern white males
often disparaging : REDNECK , or
bubba -- slang (Southern USA) A rude driver, usually in a pickup truck.)
4. William may be shortened to Bill and then he'll have two initials.
9. Angel sounds like a girls name.
10. Christian sounds like his religious affiliation.
12. Hugh sounds like "you" and will cause him endless trouble.
2. Lonnie and 11. Alan are soft sounding names. Most people prefer a name with some strength in it.
6. Tim & 7. Nick both sound as if they come from a longer name and people will be constantly asking questions about their given name.
That leaves two:
5. Steven will likely be shortened to Steve but there are no problems with that.
1. James will often be changed to Jimmy but that won't cause a problem because Jimmy only comes from James.
So my two choices would be 1 and 5.
My son has James as his second name so you can probably tell my preference. As a second name however it doesn't get shortened.
My son's first name is Michael and he has shortened it to Mike.
I can't really use your scale of 1-10 except to say James and Steven would probably be the highest tied at 9. Bubba is just not acceptable and should be removed from your list.
I think you should however use my comments to determine for yourself what numbers to use.
