1. Fact. Al Gore is one of the owners of the company he buys "credits" from. He formed the company as an investment in "green" industry. He stands to make money by fronting the global warming scare AND he makes money by buying the credits.
2. Fact. No one else can buy credits the same way Gore does.
3. Fact. No matter how you wish to wash it, Gore's engergy footprint is humongous and is typical of how "rich" people (hollywood stars and liberal politicians) set one standard for everyone else and lives by another standard.
4. Fact. Gore is in the global warming camp for what he can get out of it.

Now come on...you have to be fair. Al purchases "carbon offsets" to compensate the environment for his "life style".
But he didn't start purchasing those offsets until November of 2006...about the time the movie was nominated for an Oscar.
In the immortal words of Emily Latella: "Never mind."

Electricity is Green so that is a good thing, I believe he is using solar and has wind power to produce the electric current. Good work with the question and the report knothead.

Seems that most of the people who answered you are misinformed. The only person Al Gore paid for his carbon usage was himself. He owns the carbon offset investment company. Please see the following question. There will be a link containing sources within the question...

He says that poor people should stop using their dryer and use a clothes line when all he does is use more and justify it by buying stock.

I don't believe many politicians cut their usage of anything in order to help anyone. It is the same old do as I say not as I do crap and it is done by both parties. It is a good thing that man made GW is just another alarmist trick for the politicians of the world.

Learn a new word.
INCONGRUOUS!!
It means that just because Al Gore believes in a healthy planet, the fact that he himself uses a lot of power ( and lets face it he is a world leader now so I'm sure he needs a lot more power than the average man does) ; does not disprove his views.
The fact that one Liberal who stands up and states the views, wastes electricity himself DOES not debunk those views.
It's incongruous!!
It's like saying Rightys wants to always have wars despite that he they talk about Deomcracy.. because look what Bush actually does. He has wars..
Thankfully for people like you.. we the left understand that you are ignorant and therefore do not condemn you the way you condemn me. We will maintain our pursuit of truth and eventually hope you get educated.

... air conditioning uses a lot of electricity, is it further proof of global warming?
Can't you make your argument without snooping into a person's utility bills? Aren't you actually arguing ad hominem?
The man lives in a mansion for goodness sakes, why not compare him with other mansion owners?
