I think if you moisturize it that it will build up on their scalp, however if you wash their hair really well and get it all off it might be okay. I always put just a dab all over my boys' heads so that when people would hold them they would smell really good. My second son did have a little cradle cap but I would gently scrub his head with his very soft baby brush when I was shampooing him. It went away quickly.

no. Don't moisturize hair at this age. If you see signs of cradle cap, apply a very little baby oil, scrub gently with a washcloth or brush, and wash again. Do it every day till the cradle cap is gone.

No...No....Dont ever think that... Scalp of the newborn is very fragile, the skin still developing. To make sure your baby will get a very beautiful hair.Get baby comb, keep combing till its dry . Its good thing too to put him on sleep. Cradle cap is natural development or changes on skin. to help it use baby oil and brushing also helps. In a very gentle way.

you don't need to moisturize your baby's head, but if you put baby oil on it once a week and wash it out it can help prevent cradle cap. but what causes cradle cap is where you don't get all the shampoo out after you wash it. so make sure you rinse the baby's head good and dry it off good..

You definitely want to keep the baby's hair moisturized with a very minimal amount of baby oil (I used the gel).....cradle cap is a build up of dry scalp that is worsen by sweat...if your baby should end up with it, you'd want to get it out with pure olive oil, a baby brush and fine tooth comb.....

Babys don't need moisturizer for there hair. Use a mild baby shampoo and that's all you need. If the baby gets craddle cap use a little bit of baby oil and brush it useing a baby brush.

If you do, use baby mousurizer. If you use regular mousturizer the alcohol in it will cause the baby's head to flake or have rashes because their skin is not use to it.
