Hi- I'm 16 and I'm looking for a really good foundation. I'm quite pale and I like to have a bit more colour but I'm currently wearing powder on top of foundation which I want to stop because its making my skin quite dry. Thanks xx

Go to a store that sells MAC. It's the best hands down. They will even do a complementary application for you if you ask them too. Great tips too!

Well umm. I use NOTHING but Mary Kay, because that is what WORKS for me, and you need to decide what is RIGHT for you. The concealer at Mary Kay goes a long way to make you look better, and it LASTS much longer than regular makeup. I like the bronze pearls that come with the really cool retractable brushes. Make sure to buy the velocity cleanser and moisturizer to keep skin lookung clean, blemish-free, and hydrated. Your skin will be able to breathe with these products, you will be able to obtain the tanner look, and you will LOVE IT! Dermatologists are paid round the clock to make good makeup there, so it is a huge recommendation. Okay, I could write about the stuff all night... it is good stuff, and you can try it, it is worth every penny! Well I hope this helps you, if you have questions just e-mail me at idiodicidahochick@yahoo.com. Good Luck ... I would stop with the powder and if you want a bit more colour use a bronzer on top of your foundation instead. I use Hula from Benefit, its the best bronzer i have tried.

Also, Lancome in my opinion are best for foundation, which one depends on your skin type, but all of them are great. I have tried loads of foundations over the years and have stuck with Lancome. If you have dry skin, i would maybe try chanel foundation, as it is designed for people with dry skin.

If you have good skin (little to no blemishes) I'd recommend using a tinted moisturizer rather than foundation because foundation could clog your pores. The tinted foundation I use (and love) is by Laura Mercier (you can get it at Macy's or Sephora). But, if you MUST use foundation, MAC's studio fix is really good (it's a thicker powder foundation). Hope this helps!

Mineral foundation should do the trick. Try Everyday Minerals (http://www.everydayminerals.com); they offer FREE samples---you pay for shipping only...I ordered five samples (good sizes!) and paid $3.75---and their range of colors is wonderful.

To apply, shake a little bit of mineral powder onto a clean mirror or into the clean lid of a large jar/container. Rub your face makeup brush bristles into the minerals and then tap the brush to remove as much of the excess as possible (you should see little to no powder on your brush). Then, using circular strokes, 'buff' the minerals onto your face, starting with your cheeks and forehead--limit yourself to 2 layers of mineral powder; otherwise you'll look 'cakey.'

To cover any blemishes or dark areas, use the exact same technique on these areas, but use a smaller brush, like an eyeshadow brush.

To add a bit more color to your face, use a little bronzing powder on the apples of your cheeks (round, fleshy parts of your cheeks that pop up when you smile), forehead, chin, tip of your nose and temples (the same areas that naturally get tanned when you spend too much time in the sun without sunscreen--a big "no, no" by the way).

Pretty!

max factor infinity is brilliant. I used to wear powder as well as foundation but I don't need to now. I Astrel cream to moisturise my face then apply my foundation. Then to add a bit of colour I use a tiny amount of dream blush mousse by maybeline. works a treat!

Cover Girl has some real good foundation and find
something that matches your skin tone
I blend my in with my fingers and a makeup sponge
just dab it in all over your face
like I do and I have never had any problem with dry skin
