it was about a little girl who lived with an older girl and boy and they were race car drivers, while they were out car racing, two robots, watched over the little girl.

Hmmmm...sounds more like Pole Position.
The little girl was Daisy (red-haired and pigtailed)
The older girl was Tess (short, brown hair)
and the older boy was Dan (blonde, I think).
There was no robots, but there was a pair of computers, Wheels (in Tess's car) and Roady (in Dan's car). They were racers/stunt car drivers, and crimefighters on the side.
There was also a little animal that was pet, but I don't remember its name, or what species it was (I think it was an experimental species or something. I don't remember the details.)
According to the opening, the kids' parents were also crime fighters, and that Pole Position was a secret crimefighting unit.
(From the opening...)
Man on screen: "Now you, like your parents were, are the secret force of Pole Position."
Could the cartoon have been Pole Position?

I think the answer is Pole Position. The two robots were actually computers that could control the two race cars but they could also be removed to look after the kid. It was on in like the 80's.

Was it maybe, Speed Racer? I remember that show but I haven't watched it in a while. If the show you're thinking of had a monkey in it then it was probably Speed Racer.

no, the only thing that sounds similar is speed racer - with chim-chim the monkey and trixie - - i loved that cartoon
