I wish Conservatives cared about the Social Contract we've developed amongst eachother and harped less about thier tax burden

I wish Conservatives would use their belief in Good Business Practices to clean up the federal bureaucracy

I wish liberals would embrace reality. You can see , by the way many answer, questions, that they ignore what you and others ask ...
They talk about what they want, not only turning the question in another direction , but often about things that dont even have anything to do with teh question.
All the worlds a stage for their agendas, and their own version of reality. evidence is only what they want to look at, condemning only who they want when they want.
Most dont have a solution to any issue, just like some of the leaders they follow. Their agenda is set by conservatives.. soon as a conservative sets an agenda they just take that same issue in the opposite direction.

So yea... reality... look at it.. acknowledge.. even if you wont embrace it.

( to the few liberals with a brain out there... this wasnt directed at you per se... just the majority of libs )

I wish that liberals would be more patriotic and be more concerned with defending the country and it's citizens. They make blantant un-patriotic comments to the world, and they do not want to even defend out southern border. As a life long conservative, moves in both these areas would have me considering voting for the liberals, because the conservatives have been falling off too. Sadly there is not much difference anymore. There needs to be a viable third party to give us a choice and to tell the Repubs and Demos that they better get it togather.

Liberals need to embrace that I pay enough taxes all ready.
I'd like Liberals to embrace the fact that an unborn child is a human. It's not a "fetus" or "embryo". Being human, its not OK to kill them.
I'd like my fellow conservatives to embrace the fact that the government has a responsibilty to help those in need. If we left it to the generosity of the rich, anybody that needed some help would die of starvation and exposure to the elements.

Great question.

As a Conservative for my Liberal friends.

1) All life is not equal.
2)It is beyond hypocrisy to support Abortion and condemn the death penalty.
3) We are not born with the right to a good a life and we must work to achieve it.
4)Peacemonger marches are not supporting our troops. Its ok to do it you have that right, but stop playing it off as support, it is not.
5)When you come for my guns you're gonna get the bullets first, if you're still around then you can take my guns from me.
6)Universal healthcare ends up being like Wal-Mart. Just universally bad.
7)Stop calling conservatives names from the safety of your computer, if you did it to my face you would soon be visting your dentist. If I insult you first by-all-means fight back, but inflamatory insulting questions are just cowardice. This also goes for you so-called Conservatives that practice this.

I wish liberals could grasp the fact that not all conservatives are rich and many of us have worked hard to get where we are from humble beginnings and are truly offended that we are expected to give a significant portion of what we have earned to people who lack the willingness to do what it takes to become successful productive members of society.

This comes from a high school drop out from a broken home who worked hard to earn a Master's Degree and is now trying to raise a family of his own.

My Conservative brethren have to lighten up a bit and realize there actually is a little gray in between the black and white of every issue.

For liberals to learn and embrace:
*Free market economics.
*The concept of international commodities markets and their effects on commodity prices.
*The Law of Supply & Demand.
*That profits are not evil.
*The Laffer Curve.
*The abysmal failure of appeasement in 1930's Europe.
*The abysmal failure of the League of Nations and the similarities to today's UN.

For both sides:
*To be skeptical of all news you hear, unless you verify it through other sources, or unless it is consistent with what you already know to factually be true [kudos to Boortz]
*To demand proof, data, evidence when accusations are made, regardless of which side is making it.
* To draw conclusions AFTER looking at the proof, data and evidence, not BEFORE.

Most importantly - for everybody:
*The concept that the Constitution was created to specifically limit the scope and size of the Federal government to the powers enumerated therein and in the amendments. All other power was reserved for the states and the people.

[had to edit - some concepts are needed by everybody]

I have long believed no liberal understands basic economics or the concept of federalism.

Feel good policies like raising the minimum wage have demonstrably negative economic effects...and that "profit" is NOT a dirty word.

Everything is not the federal government's concern. State and local governments have proper roles to fill as well.
