Are those at-home kits any good and how do they compare to a salon treatment? What brand do you suggest?

Salon microderma is without any doubt more effective (thanks to the precise hand of a trained professional, the high pressure flow of crystals and the vacuum power of the device). But home kits work as well. if you find the right one for you, you will see that in time acne scars, wrinkles and sun spots begin to fade. Neutrogena, pond's, Susan Lucci and Dermanew are some of the most popular at-home microderma kits. you will have to try some samples to see which of them fits your skin.
hope this helps.

They are as good as they are going to get for $20... But, if you are willing to invest in a good microdermabrasion, you'll have to go to a salon. Every other month is sufficient. I often get the microdermabrasion and pumpkin peel (no downtime). No home kit can obviously compare in the in-depth cleaning in a salon... But, if you prefer a home kit, Neutrogena is good.
Good Luck!
