I'm 18, in college, and since I was like 12 I used Degree deodorant and it worked fine. But ever since I came to Utah for college, I've had really bad sweating problems. I shower every day and use deodorant, but nothing helps. I've tried switching to old spice extreme or whatever it is, someone recommended it to me. It worked great for a month then stopped. I tried using Mitchum cool and dry, but that doesn't work either!
I need a deodorant AND antiperspirant that works, and won't stain my shirts yellow...any ideas? PLEASE help me out, it's really embarrassing, cuz i get all sweaty and i have to keep my arms down and hide it.
Thanks in advance...Best answer gets 10 points!

Detachable sweat glands. Works for me, might work for you.
Detach 'em when you want to stop sweating, re-attach and sweat away!

Oh man. Am I ever in the same boat. I've tried everything! Nothing really works for me. It was especially bad in high school. I went to a private school and we were forced to wear light green shirts. The first drop of sweat would immediately show as a dark dark green. It was terrible.
In the winter my problem isn't so bad because I can wear a sweater (to cover up my massive pit stains). But any other time of the year - you can't wear a sweater all the time!
Anway.. my advice - Wear light colored shirts. I find this works very well... the pit stains don't show nearly as well as if I wear a dark colored shirt. I've tried every deoderant / anti-persprant with absolutely no luck.
This may sounds completely crazy... but I have noticed that no deodorant / anti persprant works the best for me. I still sweat under my arms - but it really isn't that bad. For some reason using anti-persperant makes me sweat even more.
You may look into T-shirts with a sweat shield sewn under the arms. I haven't tried these but I think I may pick a few up and give them a shot.
I know how you feel man. It really restricts the outfits I can wear. I don't know how many times I've been completely embarrised in public because of my massive pit stains. My buddy actually has a picture of me taken a while back... I'm waving at the camera and there is this HUGE wet mark under my arms... he gives me crap about that all the time!
Anyway... good luck. Try the sweat protection shirts.

All right everyone, this my question (don't care about the points, ya'll can have them). Here goes...I never had a BO problem until about 2 years ago. I've been thru most every brand of deodorant there is. Most would work for a few hours then BAM, the BO hit. Could never find one that lasted a full 24 hours. It got to the point that I was showering twice a day. Still after a few hours...same problem. I've always hated the idea of anti-perspirants, but out of desperation, decided to try one. I tried 2 and they flaked and gobbed up too much. Then I tried the gel anti-perspirant and finally....success. Thank you for anti-perspirants. My success story is Right Guard Sport anti-perspirant. Works for me.....finally.

Try Axe (any sent is o.k., but I prefer Essence) and use unscented baby powder under your arms AFTER you put on the deodorant/antiperspirant. The powder should help out tremendously...I was raised in the desert and that is how we combated it there.
Team the Axe deodorant with the Axe body wash and I bet you will see/smell a difference.
Also, make sure that you are getting plenty of water to keep your system cool....which may help lower the sweating.

Is this about sweat or odor?
If sweat, have you started drinking caffeine? Cut it out and you'll stop sweating.
If odor - well, some illegal drugs can through your chemistry out of balance and cause this - I hope not.
Drink a lot of water to flush your waste out through your kidneys. Try bathing (once) with a surgical scrub to remove odor causing bacteria so you can get a fresh start.
I never stink, but once I rented a wetsuit and caught the previous guy's "flora" and it was pretty bad for me for a week. That's why I'm recommending the surgical scrub.
Drysol is a prescription anti-perspirant. A doc can give you a prescription.
On the extreme side, you can look into botox to stop underarm sweating.
Good luck.

My man had the same problem. Gilette works really well for him. You might need to keep switching every month though. Some people's bodies adjust to deodorant (it's like becoming tolerant of a drug and needing a stronger dosage). Changing up will keep your body's chemistry from getting too used to any particular formula. Also, anti-perspirants with aluminum zinc tend to be pretty powerful. And you should stick with solids (no pun intended) rather than sprays.

Try Certain Dry anti-perspiration deoderant. It has a 72 hour protection. It is doctor recommended & prescription strength. You can use it all over your body, and can be found in the deoderant section at many pharmacies & probably Wal-Mart to. It does cost more than degree and other deos.but it does work.

My husband has the same problem. His body ends up getting used to different deoderants, so I constantly have to buy him different brands, which right now he's using the Right Guard Extreme that you've already mentioned. Believe it or not, for 2 yrs the only thing that worked for him was Dove deorderant. Of course, his little sister had a blast w/ that one until her boyfriend confessed to her that he used Suave! LOL The Powder Fresh Dove isn't too girly and it seems to work, but that's up to you and how manly you perceive yourself. Sometimes, you just have to look to the girls' stuff to get one that works! Good luck!

I use Brut, it has a good strong cologne-y smell.
Try these also:
-antibacterial soap like Dial Gold
-watch your diet a lot of meat and fish and even dairy can make your BO worse. Try more fresh fruit and mild veggies (not asparagus) to coll yourself down a little on the smell.

I use the Old Spice Extreme or Sport; whatever the heck it is.
Maybe you need to apply it twice a day. Once in the morning and once at lunch time.
