Hi
i have been wondering the same thing! it seems that lace is right and the only way to be sure about pregnancy affecting your cervix is around 7 weeks by which time it will be high and you should have had a positive test result. i am still trying to work out if it stays hard or goes softer or what in early pregnancy - i will let you know if i find out!
also, from some of the forums i read i see that the women who check regularly the position, firmness and wetness of the cervix at certain times of the month know their own body well and can tell if there is something different.. so its worth doing if you are not pg this time and something positive to do towards trying to conceive. best of luck to you.

You cannot tell if you are pregnant by the position or texture of your cervix as it doesn't really change until later on in pregnancy and by the time it does change you already know that you are pregnant. Only a doctor can really tell by looking for Chadwicks sign but that would be done by looking at the cervix which only your doctor can do. Your best bet is to just wait it out I know that is hard to do but relax and take it easy. Best of luck to you
