First let me say that I don't intend this to be a partisan question and would appreciate it if you could refrain from answering with Bush or liberal bashing.

With that said, I'm suprised that the Administration said they had nothing to do with the firings of the 8 attorneys and then back tracked after the Karl Rove email came out. This seems similar to the CIA leak investigation when they originally said no one in the Administration had anything to do with leaking the agent's name, but backed off that assertion when everyone found out Rove leaked.

I find it hard to believe that the Administration would intentionally cover up their involvement when the evidence is there in records and emails, but that makes me wonder if Rove is misleading the rest of the Administration and hiding what he has said or done. Do you think Bush and his Administration really know what Karl Rove is doing behind the scenes? Do you think Rove misleads them about what he does until he gets caught?

Butterbar Bob, you clearly misunderstood my question. I am not interested in hearing if you think a crime was committed or whether it is a political witchhunt and I never said anyone was evil. I am asking whether you think Karl Rove is hiding information from the rest of the Admin until the stuff hits the fan. It just doesn't make any sense to me that they would tell the media they weren't involved if they knew that they were involved. Why would you want to set yourself up for embarrassment and destroy your credibility when it is unnecessary?

For the record, I completely understand that the lawyers were serving at the pleasure of the Pres. and could be removed at any time. That is why it makes no sense to hide the fact that they were involved in the firings. No crime was committed, so why try and hide it from Congress?

As for Kevin A, your comment made absolutely no sense as I did not claim to know any "truths". It saddens me to see that you are considered a "Top Contributor".

It is my belief that Rove is given pretty much free rein at doing what he sees fit for this administration. He set the plan to have Bush elected then re-elected so much is owed to him by this president and the administration. One need not be a republican or democrat to see how Rove fits into this administration. He has played a major role in the release of Plame's position at the CIA and has played a major role in the release of the eight attorneys. I don't understand why evidence cannot be found to tie him to both incidents.

I gave the administration and right wing radio too much credit. They don`t technically fire attorneys the attorneys write up a letter of recommendations any time a new administration enters office and it is up to the new administration to accept the letters. Would of make a much better talking point. We can`t get this fading generation out fast enough so the youth can steer the ship back in the right direction.

Did you read the Rove e-mail? It basically asked, what's going on the with US attorneys? Are you keeping them, firing them, or replacing some? How is that "running" things?

He needed to know because he would need to deal with the political ramifications, especially how some of these were recommended by GOP senators and congressmen.

Gee, how "eeee-vil". Get serious. This is nothing but a Congressional witch-hunt, and a shabby one at that.

i think rove has too much power, possibly acting at times without the administrations knowledge. GHW Bush may know the most about rove. to clarify,he was the one who investigated rove during watergate.

Consider this: Perhaps Rove runs the Administration not the other way around.

To answer your question as non-partisanly as possible.

No, the bush administration has no clue what rove is up to half the time.

That is why they keep contradicting themselves, and will most likely eventually end up perjuring themselves if they are ever forced to take the stand.
