I would like to start a petition against the Thumbs up or down thing on Yahoo answers.
Just say yes or no if you want that feature.
If yes then star the question.
The more stars, the more recognition it would get and the yahoo answers people would take notice.
It's worth a try.

No = keep the thumbs

Perhaps the Q&A Team has been bombarded with this question and the answers they give is the thumbs were to give the question asker a general idea of what the people answering deems as a good answer.
I could do without the thumbs personally.

Okay, your question is confusing. First you say if you want the feature, then star the question, then you say yes=no thumbs. So which is it? Starred mean thumbs or no thumbs??

I like the thumbs, when people actually use them it shows me how many people like or dislike what I have to say, they are one of my favorite parts.
