how do you get an agent? i was wondering

Extras don't typically need agents cuz they don't speak in the film. They fill in the background. Don't make much $$ either. Often just minimum wage.

If you have an agent that only gets you parts as an 'extra', then you should FIRE that agent...lol
All you gotta do is show up where they're filming and just let them know you're willing to be an extra. Sometimes they'll do open-casting calls for extras. They'll usually list this in your local newspaper but it's good to have contacts with your towns local theatre(s) as well. Even if you miss the casting-call, you should still show up on the location because surely some extras would be no shows and then they might use you :-)

No but if you want to get into good movies. And they are help full finding movies for you to be and extra in.

Not usually.Here in Denver directors often advertise in the newspaper seeking extras for crowd scenes,etc.You don't often receive any money but you do get a catered buffet lunch and bragging rights to say you are in a movie:)
