They asked my wife to bounce her bum up and down on the bench. Little beggar wouldn't keep still after that, and still doesn't!

A nurse told me to drink lots of fluids, because the baby can hear you swollowing and it wakes it up. Eatting is a good one too. After a good meal my baby always moves around. I have to be monitored twice a week because I have gestational diebetes and when my baby isn't moving the nurse puts a vibrator on my stomach where the babies head is and that useually wakes her right up. I'm 38 weeks, so this may not work for you, but you never know.
I've also read that walking around a lot rocks the baby to sleep, so you might want to grab abite to eat right before your ultrasound ( the food might help wakeup the baby) and do as little walking as possible (so you don't rock the kiddo to sleep).

Coffee isn't a good idea. Try orange juice. It's natural and will give baby a little natural sugar buzz...(OBGYN'S will give it to their patients who have little movement before hooking them up to a monitor to see if it can be stimulated by the extra sugar)just make sure you don't do it too soon before the appointment or baby may be asleep by then. Also you could try picking a different time in the day because babies like to keep their schedules even before birth and that might just have been baby's resting time.

i did not do some thing to target to get the newborn to be lively earlier the ultrasound. that's easily no longer a sturdy issue because they do a lot more beneficial than examine the gender. they're searching in any respect 4 chambers of the middle. there's a lot of measuring of organs & what no longer & you don't need the newborn transferring too a lot for that. Now a days that's uncommon that the tech won't be able to get the gender. There are all distinction angles. you may ought to drink a group of water earlier the ultrasound so your bladder is finished. it truly is the problematical section.

i know this sounds really strange but exactly the same thing happened with my first. She was a lazy little madam lol. The lady who did my ultrasound told me to eat something full of sugar. I know weird but it actually worked. I had a mars bar and a quick walk round the car park went back and as if by magic my little princess was bouncing around all over the place.
I didn't have that problem with this one (boy) he never stops.
congrats on the pregnancy and good luck with your next scan, hope this helps x

I've heard eating ice chips can help. I think drinking something cold might work just as well. During my non-stress test my daughter was being too still. They wanted to get her heart rate while moving. Usually all I had to do was call my hubby on my cell phone, put it to my belly, and have him talk to her. One day she wasn't responding to that either, so they gave me cold orange juice and that did the trick. I'm not sure if it was the sugar in OJ or the cold, but it got her moving.

Have a cold cup of juice just before you go into the room. They should have done that for you anyways. I had to be monitored the other day and the baby wasnt moving much at all and so they brought me a cold cup of lemonade and after that she was all over the place.

I always remember my son getting really active about 5 minutes after a cup of coffee. In fact the first time I felt him move was after lying on the sofa with a cup of coffee so its worth a go!
God luck!

When I had my ultra sound, they had the same problem...although my little one had the hiccups, they could not get any measurements due to the position of the baby. They gave me Popsicles and iced water. The nurse said it will stimulate the baby and he/she will move around. Kinda like a shock factor. It in NO way hurts the baby....just "wakes" them up...good luck

dance around or wobble your bump i used to my midwife suggested it off the record of course but it worked,
U can tell a babys sex if you dont get told by the size of babys belly on the scan pic,
If the baby has a belly that looks simlar to a pregnant belly then it be a BOY
If the belly if flat and raised then its a GIRL
We got told by a scan screening woman and it worked. My friends who have had babies or pregnant have all done this or looked at previous scan pics of their kids and was amazed that its right.

your baby eats what you eat so if you are eating healthy then the baby will be healthy. i am not so sure about the coffee, try and walk as much and as quickly as you can but don't over do it just shorts walks it will make the baby more active. all the best with your pregnancy keep us posted on how you are doing.
