Mood rings should come with a decoder. A little strange if yours did not.

Black: Tense, nervous, harassed, overworked; may also indicate a damaged ring
Grey: Anxious, nervous, strained
Amber: Nervous, emotions mixed, unsettled
Green: Average reading. Active, not under great stress
Blue-green: Emotionally charged, somewhat relaxed
Blue: Relaxed, at ease, calm
Dark blue/Purple: happy, romantic, passion, in love[1]

all i can tell you is this: my wife is menopausal, and having these emotional swings. as a joke i bought her a mood ring. it DOES work. when she's in a good mood the ring turns blue. when she's in a bad mood it leaves a big frickin' bruise on my forehead.

Didn't it come with the color chart? If not, just go to a shop where they sell them and write down what the colors mean. Nobody's going to care.
