I'm traveling to the southern part of Cyprus mid-May. Have not made travel arrangements yet (airline) -- but the stay is through a time-share exchange. Any ideas on best airline and what to do there would be appreciated. Thanks!

Difficult to answer unless I know which country you are travelling from.
I spend a lot of time working in southern Cyprus a couple of years ago and I found that the cheapest flights were Cyprus Airways, Helios and Easyjet - but I often used British Airways because the cheaper airlines tended to be full up with drunk clubbers going to Agia Napa.
I used to fly into Larnaca Airport, which is not very big but a typical OK type small Greek airport and I stayed at hotels in the middle of Larnaca Bay, which were relatively cheap, had swimming pools, segregated beach section, and great facilities.
I can't say that I love Cyprus - but it is a nice place, with very friendly people, and a good place to party (if you're not working that is !) and everyone speaks fluent English - but I do like the place, especially out of season.

If you are looking for a good airline company there are many that come to Cyprus. Cyprus Airways would be a good choice.
As about what to do in Cyprus, it depends what you like and where you stay. You will probably stay on the seaside since you are coming for holidays. I just tell you that May is the best month for the beach (warm but not too hot) and the best month for nightlife (fun but not overcrowded).
If you are interested in culture there are many archaeological sites and museums.

It is a gorgeous island however I arrived by Renassiance Cruise Lines and have no info on airlines. There is much to do and I believe the night life was great! Very upscale island and we didn't encounter any problems with the natives. Might be a different story now since we are becoming the most hated nation in the world!
